Two party, UML and Maoists agree ‘to strengthen coalition’

According to Pramod Dahal, press adviser to PM Oli, the two leaders have agreed to “strengthen the left coalition and turn the incumbent government into a national unity one”. “The two leaders were of the view that there is a need to strengthen the current coalition given the current political and social situation,” said Dahal.

Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Monday held a two-hour-long meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli as part of his what the Maoist leaders described as the last-ditch effort to seek consensus on unity government.

Earlier in the day, the party had decided to hold “decisive negotiations” with the governing UML, the main opposition Nepali Congress and Madhes-based parties among others to forge consensus on national unity government.

Maoist Centre Spokesperson Pampha Bhusal said the party would “explore other alternatives if the efforts to forge consensus fail to bear fruits”. Earlier in the day, during a meeting of the Maoist Centre headquarters at Dahal’s residence, the party chairman had told leaders that the party would stick to the alliance “only if Oli agrees to step down”. According to Maoist leaders, Dahal, however, decided mind to give some more time to Oli after the NC refused to extend support to a national unity government.

Dahal on Monday itself had held talks with NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

“The party will start seeking an alternative to the Oli government if Oli fails to work in line with the commitments-both written and verbal,” said a Maoist leader.

vows Minister Rai,Minimum wage will be effective from July 16 itself,

Minister for Information and Communications Sherdhan Rai has said the minimum wage for journalists determined by the government would come into effect from July 16.

He made it clear that the government would not back out from the decision made by the Council of Ministers on May 5 fixing the minimum wage of journalists working in media houses at Rs 19,500 and employees and workers at Rs 14,400;
and of journalists working at other media institutions at Rs 14,100 and employees and workers at Rs 12,500.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers on May 5 had decided to implement the minimum wage for journalists and employees and workers at media institutions to be effective from July 16 based on the recommendation made by the Minimum
Wage Fixation Committee nearly one year back.

The Information and Communications Minister said this while speaking in a programme of interaction entitled 'Implementation of the Minimum Wage in the Media' organised by the Minimum Wage Fixation Committee here on Monday.

"The minimum wages of the journalists would be enforced and discussions are on regarding the 11-point demands put forth by the media operators for that purpose as well," Minister Rai, who is also the government spokesman, said.

He asserted that the decision regarding the minimum wage of media persons made by the Council of Ministers was not to close down the media with small investment but for the job security of all journalists and media persons.

The Minister urged the media operators, journalists and all those concerned to extent cooperation in implementing the minimum wage rather than involving in making unnecessary comments.

President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Dr Mahendra Bista stressed on strict implementation of the minimum wage in all media institutions even if it means the government having to increase the services and facilities
provided to the media.

"The physical safety and financial security of the journalists, who have played a role in institutionalising the agendas of every change and giving voice to the voiceless," he said, adding that the FNJ would not hesitate to launch a struggle in
case the minimum wage decision was not implemented in letter and spirit.

FNJ former president Dr Suresh Acharya said the implementation of the minimum wage would not be reliable unless it is published in the Nepal Gazette. He also urged the Minimum Wage Fixation Committee to also monitor the implementation
of the decision on minimum wage.

Journalist Prateek Pradhan opined that it would be difficult for the media with small investment to implement the minimum wage.

Presenting a working paper on the occasion, advocate Agni Prasad Thapaliya said implementing the minimum wage would not be a big problem if only the journalists and the media institutions who are well-informed, conscious and professional
think on this matter positively and with patience.

It has been two decades since the Minimum Wage Fixation Committee instituted as per the Working Journalist Act, 2051 (First Amendment 2064) started its work in connection to ensuring job security and professional development
of the working journalists, workers and employees working in media institutions. RSS

Causes of Gastrices

People may suffer from different types of gastric problems. There are different reasons for producing gastric signs and symptoms. Gastric trouble is not a disease but it may be a symptom indicating presence of a chronic gastric disease. The main cause of gastric trouble is insufficient secretion of pancreatic juice into the small intestine. There is loss of pancreatic enzymes that help in the digestion of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. As a result most of the food is not used properly in the body and can produce gastric trouble. Gastric trouble generally arises when there is malabsorption of the food. Gastric trouble may occur as a result of dysfunctioning of any of the digestive organ. If stomach produces large amount of acid, it may cause gastric trouble, if there is any defect in the large intestine of liver, it may produce other symptoms related to gastric trouble. Thus, disturbance in the functioning of any part of the digestive system can cause gastric trouble. Men, women and children can also suffer from gastric trouble. Gastric trouble may produce short term symptoms and can be easily treated by using home remedies or herbal remedies.

Causes of Cancer

Cancer is caused by abnormal growth of cells. Abnormal cell growth may occur in anywhere in the body.
There is no continuous division and growth of abnormal cells that lead to the cancer. Cancer cells disturb the functioning of the body parts.
Cancer may be of two types: Benign and malignant. In benign tumours, the cancer cells remain localized to one place and
they do not spread to other parts of the body whereas in malignant tumours the cancerous cells reach to different parts of the body.

Cancer cells may travel through blood or lymphatic system to affect other body parts.
Different types of cancer have different causes. There is a normal cycle of cell growth but when there is a disturbance in the cell growth cycle,
there is formation of group of cells that accumulate at one place and may lead to cancer.
Genetic predisposition is an important cause for cancer. There are some genes that lead to the formation of cancer cells.
People who smoke may suffer from cancer of the lungs. Tobacco chewing may cause mouth cancer.
Alcohol drinking is the main cause of liver cancer. Women mainly suffer from cervical cancer. Therefore, different types of cancer
 are caused by specific causes.

Nepalis will leave afghnistan if not ensured security: voices of Afghan Nepalis security Guards.

2016,june 25- Nepali migrant workers working for the security of the British Embassy in Kabul have expressed disatisfaction that they could not communicate their problems
with Nepal’s acting ambassador to Afghanistan Tirtha Raj Aryal during his visit over there.

Aryal reached the British Embassy in Kabul on Friday to take details of the situation of the Nepali security guards. He did meetings with the Nepali workers
from 12pm to 2pm . “We are happy that our ambassador arrived to assess our situation. But we were not allowed to put keep our views in group,” a Nepali
security guard appointed for the security of the British Embassy told the Post over phone. “Only two-three of our colleagues were allowed to speak. But they could not
 express our problems freely.”

The disgruntled Nepali workers have urged the Nepali Embassy to make arrangements for the ambassador to visit Anjuman Camp, where they live, and hold group
 discussions with them.

American security services company, G4S Secure Solution, has deployed nearly 400 Nepali guards for the security of the British Embassy, diplomatic staffers,
and Common Wealth Office in the Afghan capital.

“If only a few people are allowed to speak, we’ll be targeted by the company. We want to tell the ambassador about the challenges we have been facing. But
we didn’t get an opportunity for it,” said the Nepali working in Kabul for the past nine years.

The Nepali guards are worried about having to change to their workplace from the camp without security. They have requested the Nepali embassy to ask the
company to arrange for their stay in the same place where the others reside.

“It’s hard for us to work in Afghanistan in the current situation,” said another Nepali, adding that they were considering leaving the war-torn country
if they continued to feel insecure.

Our country (Nepal) feels waves as Brexit initiates shockwaves

2016,June 25- The UK on Friday casted vote for Brexit in EU referendum activating market shockwaves across Eurozone markets and forcing pound to fall to a 30-year low,
the ripple effects that were felt all across the world reached Nepal as well. While rupee saw a plunge against US dollar, gold prices flew upward.

The instant impact of Brexit was particularly seen on foreign exchange rates that remained changeable throughout the day. With international financial markets
fluctuating wildly following the result of the referendum and Indian rupee plunging Rs0.96 against the US dollar,
the exchange rate of the Nepali rupee and the greenback surged to Rs109.60 per dollar before stabilising at Rs108.50 in the late afternoon.

The Nepali rupee falled mainly due to a devaluation of the Indian rupee with which it is marked.
“A direct impact was seen on foreign exchange rates with Indian currency going down,” said Sashin Joshi,
CEO of Nabil Bank. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) had fixed the exchange rate at Rs107.96 per dollar for Friday.

Economists and bankers said medium to long-term impacts of Brexit would be felt in Nepal in terms of trade, remittance, aid and tourism.

Since the UK is one of Nepal’s largest bilateral donors, weakening British economy could hit our foreign aid programme,
they said. The total foreign assistance to Nepal from the UK amounted to $168.07 million in the fiscal year 2014-15.
“How emerging economies like India, China, Russia and Brazil, among others, react to Brexit will determine the impacts that Nepal will face,”
said Nar Bahadur Thapa,
chief of the research department at NRB. “If their currencies remain weak against the dollar, the impact will also be felt in Nepal.”

Meanwhile, remittance inflows from more than 90,000 Nepalis living in Britain could also be hit if its economy remains frail following Brexit.

Bankers said if dollar continued to rise, the country’s import bill would surge, driving inflation, which is already in double digits, further.

“As our economy is an import-based economy, a stronger dollar means increased inflationary pressure,” said Joshi.

WFP gave warning that refugees could face severe food shortages in coming year.

Bhutanese refugees living in jhapa Kingdom of Nepal, UN agency  already receiving thirty percent less food things than needed,

They could face the danger of severe food shortages next year if the global organization food agency receives no further funding.

“At now in time WFP has no resources for 2017. US$2 million is required to produce help throughout 2017,” Pippa Bradford,
the World Food Programme representative and country director, told the Post in associate email.

WFP, that has provided food and nutrition help to refugees since 1992, began parcelling food things from January this year.

“Since January 2016, the WFP help has been needs-based,
meaning that the final expatriate populations receive seventy p.c of the total food basket provided to the foremost vulnerable,” said
Bradford.

Officials say that WFP has decent resources to continue with the food support till the tip of 2016 at the present distributed level.

Until now, the WFP has received generous

assistance for expatriate operations from Canada, Denmark, global organization Central Emergency Response Fund, Australia, tetramerous,
the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and
Civil Protection department and therefore the USA.

But donors have currently told WFP officers that their resources ar being stretched and can't give continued support.

They have “clearly indicated that they not will sustain support to the WFP operation as their funds ar being
drained by different major expatriate support in different elements of the globe,”
Bradford aforesaid.

While the transfer of over 103,000 refugees has considerably reduced the size of the help needed,
there is a way of fatigue among donors once nearly twenty four years of continuous support, officers say.

Much hinges on whether or not {nepal|Nepal|Kingdom of Kingdom of Nepal|Asian country|Asian nation} and Asian country will notice a bilateral answer to the remaining refugees or if Nepal decides to regionally assimilate the remaining population.
